CEVAW Annual Report 2025

The Australian Research Council (ARC) Centre of Excellence for the Elimination of Violence Against Women (CEVAW) is the world's first Centre to address the full range of forms of violence against women in Australia and the Indo-Pacific region.

Our vision is to generate fundamental, interdisciplinary knowledge on the causes, contexts and most effective responses to violence and mobilise that research into innovative solutions and strengthened capacity to drive the elimination of violence against women.

We invite you to read our 2025 Annual Report!

About the Logo

The artwork used in this report was designed by artist Molly Hunt (@mollyhunt4food), a Balanggarra and Yolngu woman from the Kimberley. It is about connections: how to bring together human, more-than-human and other entities in Australia and the Indo-Pacific region. It represents the work and ethos of CEVAW to drive co-designed research across the Indo-Pacific region and also the connection of Indigenous and other first peoples to waterways.

Funding Acknowledgement

Funded by the Australian Government through the Australian Research Council (ARC) project number CE230100004.

The views expressed are those of the authors and are not necessarily those of the Australian Government or the ARC.

Acknowledgement of Country

CEVAW acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which our nodes and partner organisations are based. We pay our respects to Elders past and present and extend our respects to all Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander, and other Indigenous peoples around the world.
